2 Day Session - July 28th and 29th Participants will learn how to guide student learning of operations and computation based on understanding the students' mathematical thinking and selecting tasks and questions that help students grow in understanding, sophistication of methods, and efficiency. Textbook is provided: Children's Mathematics: Cognitively Guided Instruction. **Foundational background in grade level math content and in teaching math conceptually through problem solving.
