7 Steps for Creating a Language-Rich Classroom in the Content Area

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule and see who's attending!

This interactive training highlights a dynamic process for structuring a language-rich classroom that integrates both language and content standards. Participants will experience strategies for building academic vocabulary and literacy practices that benefit all learners struggling with their academic language. This session will include planning time for content area teachers to apply these engaging strategies for the beginning of the year. These steps are based on the innovative work by John Seidlitz to reach struggling ESL students. If you have already attended a Seidlitz training, this will be a beneficial refresher in incorporating these effective strategies!
