The Round Rock ISD 2014 Summer Professional Development Conference will be two full weeks of learning opportunities for educators from around central Texas. The classes listed below are only the beginning. Check back often to see what has been added. Round Rock ISD attendees, make sure you sign up in eCampus as well. 2 Day Session - Aug. 4th and 5th K-2 Reading Rocks will delve into understanding sophisticated instructional strategies for teaching primary students to read. The course will focus on teaching young students how to read, on-going analysis of student literacy behaviors to inform instruction, as well as strategies to read and comprehend. In addition to the two summer sessions, there will five mandatory after school follow-up sessions in the fall semester from 3:30-5:00 pm on: Sept. 18, Oct. 2, Oct. 16, Oct. 30, Nov. 13, and Dec. 14.
