TAG Module Training Sessions are designed to cover the core requirements outlined in the Texas State Plan for the Education of Gifted/Talented Students and complete the 30 hour staff development requirement for gifted education in Texas. The state of Texas requires educators responsible for delivering services to gifted students to complete 30 hours of training in specific areas of gifted education. The five core modules provide a fundamental overview of the nature and needs of gifted students, explains how students are identified and assessed once in the TAG program, explores the social and emotional needs of gifted students, and trains participants in creativity and instructional strategies for differentiation. Note: Attendance in ALL FIVE modules fulfills the required 30 hours of gifted foundation training required by the state.
